One of the new session features on Swapcard is that you can now create a session that has no video content attached to it.
This feature can be used when you are hosting a session on a third party site (ex. Zoom) or if you are hosting a physical event.
Creating an In person (no video) session allows for Attendees to still bookmark and register for the session and have it added to their agenda under the My Event tab (name subject to the Organizer's discretion).
Creating the session
To create the session, you have 2 options:
- Via the pre-filled excel file
- Create manually
Once the session(s) has been created, ensure that In person (no video) is selected for the Session format.
You can also add the following:
- Links
- Documents
- Live Discussion
- Seat limit
- Make a private session
- Session image
- Speakers
- Exhibitors
- Attendees
Adding a link
If this session is to be held on a separate video or meeting service, simply add the link into the session. For more information on the addition of links to a session, see What is the use of external links?
Physical event
If the event is a physical event, the use of these session types can be very useful in that it allows for Attendees to register and add it to their agenda, even without a video source or link attached.
In the case of a physical event, this feature allows attendees to:
- See the event agenda
- Build their schedule
- Information and details about the sessions
- Register and secure their seat
