To create a new event, you must first access your Studio dashboard. You will find the button to create a new event on the top-right corner of the screen.
You will then need to input your event’s basic information, some of which requires closer consideration.
Table of content
Name
Upon creation, the chosen event’s name will reflect on the event’s URL. Although you can update the event’s name at any time, the URL cannot be later changed*. Please be careful with the first name you enter!
*Note: when opting in for a fully branded app, the process can allow for a one-time URL update.
Organization
This is your Event Management team, which can be different from your profile’s Company as an Attendee. The staff you add here, can be either Admins, who can create new events under this Organization, or Event Managers, who can only edit existing events.
Keep in mind that each event must be linked to an Organization, and as soon as you add a new member you will grant that person access to all the events linked to the Organization.
Note: Once you have created your event, it will be linked to your account, giving you full ownership of it. Although editing rights can be given to a member of your Organization, ownership cannot be transferred to another account or Organization.
Beginning and end date
These refer to when your event will actually take place, and is mostly informative. You can make the event live before it starts, or choose to restrict the visible content before and after these dates.
Event format
Here you can choose whether your event is In-person, Virtual or Hybrid. This can be later changed in the Event settings of your Studio, if required.
Time zone
Here you will have to select the time zone your event will take place in. Participants can choose to display all the event content in that time zone, or their local time zone (the one their device is set to).
Any content you create in your Studio, will be set to that time zone (Emails, Sessions, as well as your Push Notifications). That's why it's important to define the right time zone.
Location
Where in the world is your event taking place.
Event Languages
On the next screen, you will be prompted to choose your Event's main and additional languages.
After this, you will be redirected to your Studio where you can start customizing your event!
