1. Transferring Ownership of an App
If your organization needs to move a branded app from one developer account to another, follow the respective steps below.
π‘Note: Only the account holder can initiate and accept the transfer
Apple App Store
Log in to your App Store Connect.
Make sure all the users are deleted from TestFlight section as shown below

βGo to My Apps β Select the app you want to transfer.
βClick App Information β Transfer App.
βEnter the Apple ID and Team ID of the receiving account.
βConfirm and complete the transfer steps.

β οΈ Both accounts must meet Appleβs transfer eligibility criteria:
Both accounts are active and enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.
The app uses only Apple frameworks (no proprietary entitlements).
All pending agreements are signed.

Google Play Store
Go to your Google Play Console.
βClick Settings β App Transfers β Transfer Apps
βFill in the form, including:
Current and target developer account details
App package name
Reason for transfer
Submit the request. β
βYou'll need the registration transaction ID for the target account. To find the transaction ID, you can search the target account owner's email inbox for βdeveloper registration fee.β
If they canβt find the transaction ID email receipt:
On the left menu, select Activity.
Find and select the transaction for your developer account registration.
Tip: Search your transactions for βGoogle Play Developer.β
Your transaction ID is listed near the bottom of the transaction details.
Registration transactions IDs are typically in one of the following formats:

π‘ Transfers can take up to 48 hours and both developer accounts must be verified and active.
2. Deleting an App from Store
If you no longer wish to keep the app available for new downloads, you can unpublish or remove it from the store.
Apple App Store
Log in to App Store Connect.
βGo to My Apps β Select your app.
βClick Pricing and Availability.
βScroll to App Availability β Manage.
βSelect None under Country or Region Availability.
βClick Next β Confirm.

It can take up to 24 hours for the app to disappear from the store for new users.
Existing users will still have access unless you disable functionality within the app.
Google Play Store
Log in to your Google Play Console.
βGo to All Apps β Select your app.
βClick Advanced Settings β App Availability.
βSelect Unpublish.
βConfirm your decision.

π‘ The app will no longer appear in search results or store listings, but users who already installed it will retain access.
3. After Transfer or Deletion
Notify your Swapcard contact or support team if your app was built and managed through Studio.
βIf the app is transferred, update the developer account credentials inside Studio (under Mobile Settings).

If deleted, confirm with your account manager whether to archive or remove the app project entirely.
