Banner images and Pictures: best practices

When adding images to your event pages, it's important to understand how Swapcard handles different image types:

  • Banner images: Banner images are used as decorative background elements. Their visible area may vary depending on the user's screen size in the event app. While you can upload banners with any ratio and large dimensions, the system will automatically adjust and crop as needed to fit different devices.
💡 Avoid placing important text, logos, or key visuals inside a banner image, as they may be cropped. Instead, use the designated text fields for critical information.

  • Picture elements: Picture elements are not used as backgrounds and maintain a 1.6 ratio (width to height). The uploaded size is flexible, as Swapcard will resize images automatically. However, using a width of around 1200px is a good guideline for optimal display across most devices.

The Swapcard Page Builder empowers event organizers to create visually appealing and user-friendly homepages without coding. By leveraging customizable sections, intuitive editing tools, and easy publishing options, you can ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
