Creating a Live Session page
Updated over a week ago

A Live Session page is an important feature for virtual and hybrid events, allowing attendees to seamlessly access ongoing sessions and stay engaged. This page enhances the attendee experience by providing a centralized location for live content, ensuring they can easily navigate and participate in real-time discussions. By setting up a Live Session page, you can streamline the viewing experience and maintain high engagement throughout your event.

How to create the Live session page

  1. Go to the Studio.

  2. Click on Event builder ➡️ Pages & Menu.

  3. Click on Create page.

  4. Choose Live Session.

How to manage your live session page settings

How to edit the design of your live session page

Customize the design of your live session page by editing the following information in the Design tab:

  • Label

  • Color

  • Button background image

  • Page background image

How to manage the visibility settings of your live session page

Control who can see your live session page by managing its visibility settings:

  • Groups: Decide which group(s) of participants can view the page.

  • Public Visibility: Choose whether to make the page visible to unregistered guests.

Depending on your event's complexity, you can create different Live session pages for different participant groups. For example, you might want to show specific sessions to VIP attendees that are hidden from standard attendees.

How to manage the data settings of your live session page

1. Conditions

  • Use conditions to filter and display relevant content. These fields are populated from the custom fields created for your event (more information here).

  • You can create multiple live session pages based on location, format, topics, or any custom fields added to your event.

2. Display preferences

  • Choose to display either a list or grid of all available sessions, or redirect attendees to the live session when they access the page.

  • Customize content order and sorting options for the top navigation bar, section titles, and session sorting.

Attendees' perspective

Attendees who click on the Live Session page will be redirected to the ongoing Session, and once said Session ends, the next one – based on the Event Schedule and Sessions assigned to that particular page – will automatically play (auto-follow).

This is ideal for Virtual and Hybrid Events. You can have multiple Live session Content pages if your event has simultaneous live sessions.

As an attendee, upon logging in, they will find the Live Session page prominently displayed. By clicking on it, they'll be redirected to the ongoing session.

This feature ensures that your attendees stay engaged and informed throughout the event. By customizing the design, managing visibility settings, and utilizing data conditions, you can create an intuitive and efficient Live Session page that caters to your event's specific needs. Implementing this page not only boosts engagement but also simplifies navigation, making your event more dynamic and interactive.
