Widgets: displaying your Event content on your website
Updated over a week ago

Embedding the Schedule/Agenda, Exhibitors, Speakers, and Attendees' lists from your Swapcard-powered event directly onto your website is a fantastic way to streamline content management. This means you won't need to duplicate content between Swapcard and your website, ensuring consistency and saving time.

How to find the embed HTML code

For an event

  1. Go to the Studio and navigate to Event builder ➡️ Pages & Menu.

  2. Scroll down until you reach the Widgets section.

For a community

Embedding community pages, including people, exhibitors, items, and sessions, into external websites significantly boosts community engagement. Integrating this content directly onto your website attracts new participants and showcases your offerings effectively.

Access the Studio:

  • Go to the Studio and navigate to Community builder ➡️ Pages & Menu.

  • Scroll down to the Widgets section.

Using a Widget

Select Content to Display:

  • Choose the content you want to display on your website from the "View displayed" list. The available options depend on the pages you have created.

  • If the page is not set to be visible to Guests, you will be prompted to make it public.

Agenda View Interaction:

When displaying the Agenda view, visitors can interact with the Event's Agenda and access the Sessions pages. However, live streams and pre-recorded videos will not be accessible through the Widget.

How to make a page visible to Guests

Another way to make a page visible to Guests is via Event builder ➡️ Pages & Menu. There, you need to select the page you wish to edit by clicking on the Edit "pencil" icon right next to it. Then, under the Visibility tab, toggle on the Guests option.

Widget settings

Once the chosen Widget has been generated, you will see the embedded HTML code that you can copy and paste wherever you desire on your website. Before you proceed though, there are a few settings that you can play with to adapt the Widget and the content to your needs:

  • Language: select any of the languages that you have set up for your Event, so that the language set in the Widget matches the language of your website's page.

  • Display interaction actions: toggle on this option if you want interaction actions such as bookmarking a Company or registering for a Session to be directly available from the Widget view. Any action taken will prompt users to authenticate or register for the Event.
