Widgets: displaying your Event content on your website
Updated over a week ago

It's possible to embed the Schedule/Agenda, Exhibitors, Speakers, and Attendees' list of your Swapcard-powered Event right on your website. With this, you won't have to write content on Swapcard AND on your website anymore.

Finding the embed HTML code

To set this up, in the Studio, go to Event builder > Pages & menu and scroll down the page until you reach the Widgets section

To use a Widget, you will need to select the content you wish to display on your website from the View displayed list. The options available will be based on the Content Buttons that you have created above on the same page. Please note that if the Content Button in question is not set as visible to Guests, you will be prompted to make it public once you select it from the menu:

Please note that if you choose to display the Agenda view, visitors will be able to interact with the Event's Agenda and access the Sessions pages. However, live streams and pre-recorded videos will not be accessible through the Widget.

Making a Content Button Visible to Guests

Another way to make a Content Button visible to Guests is via Content display > Content Buttons. There, you need to select the Content Button you wish to edit by clicking on the Edit "pencil" icon right next to it. Then, under the Visibility tab, toggle on the Guests option.

Widget settings

Once the chosen Widget has been generated, you will see the embedded HTML code that you can copy and paste wherever you desire on your website. Before you proceed though, there are a few settings that you can play with to adapt the Widget and the content to your needs:

  • Language: select any of the languages that you have set up for your Event, so that the language set in the Widget matches the language of your website's page.

  • Display interaction actions: toggle on this option if you want interaction actions such as bookmarking a Company or registering for a Session to be directly available from the Widget view. Any action taken will prompt users to authenticate or register for the Event.
