Introduction
On-demand sessions allow attendees to re-watch sessions at their convenience, even after the live event has concluded. By setting up on-demand content, organizers provide attendees with the flexibility to catch up on missed sessions or revisit key presentations. This guide explains how to create and manage on-demand sessions, including how to convert existing sessions into on-demand format.
Why set up On-Demand sessions?
On-demand sessions extend the value of your event by making content accessible anytime. This flexibility allows attendees to watch sessions they missed or want to rewatch. You can also enhance engagement by setting optional availability windows to make the content exclusive, driving anticipation and interest.
How to create an On-Demand session?
To create an On-demand session follow these steps:
Open the Studio
Go to Content ➡️ Sessions
Click the Add Sessions button on the right-hand side of the page
Select Create manually, and then name the session. Set a start and end date if needed (optional).
Select the format as Video file
Upload the video file you want to broadcast on demand
How to convert an existing session to On-Demand
Open the Studio
Go to Content ➡️ Sessions
Select the preferred Session from the list
Under Session format, set the Session to the required format
In the On-demand format, the registration button is changed to a bookmark button. They will then appear under the My event tab (name subject to the Organizer) under My saved videos.
Managing On-Demand session settings
Chronological Display: By default, on-demand sessions will be displayed chronologically, even if no start or end dates are set.
Exclusive Access: You can choose to add availability dates to control when a session becomes available or expires, providing exclusivity to your content.
