Swapcard automatically sends certain push notifications to enhance the attendee experience during events. These notifications are designed to keep participants informed and engaged, and they are managed by the platform without the ability for organizers to edit, activate, or deactivate them.

What Push Notifications Are Sent Automatically?

Messages

  • New message: "[Message content]" sent via chat
    Sent when a participant receives a new message.

Contacts

  • New contact: "[Full Name] is now a connection"

  • Contact request: "[Full Name] wants to get in touch with you"
    Sent when a connection request is made, accepted, or declined.

Meetings

  • Meeting request sent: "[Full Name] just sent you a meeting request, reply now"

  • Meeting request accepted: "[Full Name] has accepted your meeting ๐Ÿค"

  • Meeting request refused: "[Full Name] has declined your meeting request"

  • Meeting request canceled: "[Full Name] has canceled their meeting request"

  • Meeting canceled: "[Full Name] has canceled your meeting"

    These notifications are sent as soon as a meeting request, cancellation, or refusal occurs.

  • Meeting reminder: "Your meeting with [Full Name] starts soon! ๐Ÿ“Location"
    Sent 15 minutes before in-person and hybrid events, and 2 minutes before virtual events.

Sessions

  • Session reminder: "Session Name will start soon, go grab a place!"
    Sent 15 minutes before for in-person/hybrid events and 2 minutes before for virtual events.

  • Session rating: "Session Name was ๐Ÿ‘ or ๐Ÿ‘Ž? Share feedback with the organizer"

  • Roundtable rating: "Please rate Roundtable name and share any additional feedback you may have."

    These notifications are sent after a session or roundtable that the participant is registered for, prompting them to provide feedback.

Note: Push Notifications are only available on the mobile apps, and users have to enable them through the notifications settings of their device (not directly in the Swapcard app)

  • Desktop Notifications: On desktop, new notifications are indicated by a red bubble displaying the number of new notifications in the top navigation bar
